People affected by high water last month finally saw some relief on Saturday. More than 50 volunteers from the American Red Cross gathered in LaRue on Saturday morning. After that they headed out to Prospect, Green Camp and LaRue. Trying to find anyone who needs further assistance, and to deliver clean-up information.

Volunteers from the Red Cross, along with members of the Scioto Valley Fire Department, met at the LaRue United Methodist Church around 9 am.

Red Cross officials had spoken with about 60 affected families prior to Saturday’s efforts. Volunteers went door to door to reach people with basic information on cleanup after damaging floods.
