A home that had the evidence of drug activity caught fire on Saturday night around 11:18 p.m. The fire happened at 124 Carhart St in Marion. Firefighter found lots of needles and drug paraphernalia in the house. Several used needles and spoons were found around the couch in the first-floor living room. The Marion Police Department was sent in to investigate the suspected drug home.
No one was home when the house caught fire. It is believed that the residents were home earlier that evening. It is estimated around $20,000 in contents and structure were destroyed in the fire.
A cause has not been determined as fire investigators attempt to locate the tenants. The fire is not believed to be suspicious.
