RECALL! Mylan’s EpiPen Plagued By Problems

Pharmaceutical company Mylan is looking at a racketeering lawsuit for price gouging on a popular and necessary drug and now the drug is facing an expanded recall.

A class-action lawsuit against Mylan targets the high price of its EpiPen emergency allergy treatment. The federal suit filed in Seattle accuses the drug giant of an illegal organized scheme to hike the list price by almost 600-percent.

Meantime, a recall of some EpiPens because they may fail to activate has been expanded to the United States. The Food and Drug Administration said that 13 lots affected in the recall were distributed from December 2015 to July 2016. Find out more about the recall HERE.
