The Ohio State Highway Patrol held an OVI checkpoint Friday night (August 18) on County Road 330 near US 30 on the east side of Bucyrus. Officers made contact with 557 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint. One vehicle was diverted for further investigation and one was determined to be impaired. Saturation patrol units who were working in the area of the checkpoint and made a total of five traffic stops resulting in three citations being issued. One of those drivers was arrested for OVI, testing over three times the legal limit
