Facebook Users Are Happier When Taking Breaks!

It would take a lot of convincing to get the average Facebook user to stay away from the social media platform, but if they do they’d be happier.

A study by researchers at Stanford and New York Universities shows that four out of ten Facebook users say that they have taken long breaks. However, the study found that the average user would have to be paid between one and two-thousand-dollars to stop posting or perusing for a year.

The researchers had people quit Facebook cold turkey for a month. They found that people spent more in-person time with friends and family. They had less knowledge of politics, were in slightly better moods and had an average of an extra hour of downtime each day.

Interestingly, when coming back from a break, people use social media less. Don’t rush to delete your account, this just shows that the key is moderation.
