Automaker Reports Sales Increases On Models Built At Plant In Central Ohio

Japanese automaker Honda is reporting an increase in sales last month on models made at their plants in Marysville and East Liberty. Company officials said yesterday that March sales of the CR-V model made at both plants remained the same, but its Accord sedan made in Marysville had risen an estimated five percent. The automaker also said their Acura RDX model manufactured at the East Liberty plant saw its sales skyrocket by over 32 percent, showing a strong interest in crossover SUVs in the North American market.

Honda opened its Marysville facility in 1982 and the East Liberty plant in 1989 and employs around seven-thousand people between the two factories.
