Ayesha & Steph Curry's 10-Month-Old Son Canon Was Body-Shamed On Instagram

Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards 2016 - Red Carpet

After sharing a warm and heartfelt message about her family on Instagram, Ayesha Curry had to deal with trolls body-shaming her 10-month-old son Canon Curry in the comments of her post. The 30-year-old cookbook author posted a series of photos celebrating husband Stephen Curry's NBA Western Conference Championship win, including a cute shot of Steph and Canon. Instead of appreciating the sweet post, some people felt the need to comment on both Ayesha and baby Canon's appearance.

"Infinitely proud of these guys. Gods grace and mercy continues to cover our family and we are so grateful. Not about wins and losses, it’s all about family. Moments like this simply put it all into perspective. “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” - Matthew 6:33," Ayesha captioned the celebratory post. It wasn't long after she shared the three-photo slideshow when the body-shaming comments began.

“Are you pregnant again?????” one person (rudely) wrote in the comments. Ayesha initially had a good-natured response to the inappropriate question, replying: “Absolutely not LOL. My 30-lb. son is just breaking my back in every photo.”

Shortly after revealing Canon's weight, trolls started shaming the 10-month-old for his appearance. “30 lbs?!?!? He’s bigger than my 19 month old nephew,” one person wrote. Another chimed in with: “30lbs at 10months?? Sheesh.” It wasn't until somebody told Ayesha to “Maybe portion-control his food a bit." The mom-of-three then fired back: “Excuse you? No. Just no.”

Ayesha's other followers were quick to come to her defense, as well. “Shame on y’all for suggesting portion controlling a baby! Babies only eat when hungry... he wouldn’t eat if he wasn’t hungry! There is nothing wrong with rolls on a baby!!! Shame on you adults body shaming a BABY,” one person wrote.

Hopefully the baby-body-shaming trolls learned their lesson. Well, two lessons. First: don't body-shame anybody. Second: Ayesha Curry is not afraid to clap back if you come for her kids.
