Former Bucyrus Resident Arrested After Chase

A search that started at TSC in Bucyrus, after a man reportedly stole knives from the TSC Store, ended with a former Bucyrus resident getting arrested. Twenty-six year-old Adam B. Smith fled in a vehicle driven by a female after being spotted by police. The driver pulled into the Circle K on South Lane Street, where Smith fled on foot were he was apprehended in the 200 block of East Warren Street. Smith was tasered after resisting arrest. He was arrested

on a Marion County warrant with other charges pending for theft, fleeing an officer and resisting arrest. The woman involved in the incident has not yet been charged.
