Marion Correctional Institution Employee Tests Positive For COVID-19

Officials at the Marion Correctional Institution say one of their employees has tested positive for COVID-19. The Ohio Department of Corrections confirmed yesterday the employee last worked at the jail on March 24th and began showing symptoms on March 25th. The ODC did not release the employee's identity or if they had contact with prisoners. Corrections Director Annette Chambers-Smith says the employee is being treated at home, and a contract trace investigation is underway.
