Flu season is almost here, and a new report says it's best to make sure children are vaccinated by the end of October or as soon as the flu shot is available. Doctor Frank Esper with Cleveland Clinic Children's says children need a flu shot every year because strains of flu change every year.
Doctor Esper says the flu is very dangerous, and one of the top infection-related deaths of children in the U.S. He says even if the flu doesn't produce symptoms bad enough to keep a child home from school, it doesn't mean that kid can't transmit the virus to somebody else. The good doctor says it's important to get your child vaccinated sooner rather than later.
