A doctor in Madison, Wisconsin, who also happens to be a mother of two, found some time in her busy schedule to write a children’s book called My Shadow.
Dr. Katie Antony spends her days at the hospital getting parents-to-be ready for labor, delivery and early childhood development.
And because she’s been around so many young families, she realizes the importance of early literacy on childhood – and also adult – success.
Inspired to help as many of these young families as possible, Katie decided to donate the profits she’s earning from sales of My Shadow to two different charity groups that focus on literacy.
So while she’s happy that her kids are benefiting from story time with her book, she’s also excited to contribute to the well-being of other children.
