Toyota is recalling one-point-seven million vehicles in North America, the latest resulting from possibly deadly airbag inflators. At least 23 people have been killed worldwide by the faulty inflators, manufactured by Japanese company Takata, when they exploded in a cloud of flying shrapnel.
The recall affects a variety of Toyota and Lexus models built between 2010 and 2017, including some 4Runners, Corollas, and Siennas. The complete list is on Toyota's website.
