Ally Brooke Joins Our Campaign to Get Sisanie on DWTS, Confronts the Haters

Get Sisanie to the ballroom! Ally Brooke stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Thursday, October 10, and joined our campaign to get Ryan Seacrest’s cohost, Sisanie, on the next season of Dancing With the Stars.

The former Fifth Harmony member is currently competing on season 28 of hit ABC competition show alongside pro Sasha Farber.

“It’s intense,” Ally admitted. “We’re on a pretty rough schedule, but, man, I’m having the time of my life. … I’m learning so much and I love my partner — he’s a blast. He knows how to have a good time with me but also push me … and thank God it just feels like a family and everybody gets along so it’s good vibes," she added. "Hard work, tired, but it’s so worth it.”

Ally added that doing the show has also helped her confidence after suffering from internet trolls and bullies when she first broke out onto the scene with the hit girl group.

“Especially in Fifth Harmony, like, the online people were so rude to me,” she explained. “I went viral because there was like this one dance that was totally out of context … and people were just totally making fun of me and it was horrible and it just felt like I was giving my best and I was having fun, but I couldn’t anymore because I was being made fun of so I was so self conscious," Ally admitted. "… It really, really hurt my confidence, … but this year has been so transformative and Dancing With the Stars was the perfect opportunity to … show those people and myself that I can do this and … this is my time to bare it all and … be totally exposed and vulnerable.”

The “Higher” singer then encouraged Sisanie to pursue her dream as well.

“I know it’s super hard and the hours are probably crazy, but, I would love it so much,” Sisanie shared. “… I’ve been a fan of the show, watching for years, and I used to dance as a kid so I feel like I have some moves in me. I’m a little rusty, but, you know, clean me off!"

Ally added that being “rusty” is actually great for the show.

“You get to share your journey with people and with America and … it’s so nice you can go in like a blank slate and just be like, ‘Here, let’s mold me into something and let’s learn!” Ally concluded. “… So you would be perfect! … You would rock it.”

Ally added that she’ll help by putting in a good word with the casting director and also invited Sisanie to come to a taping! Help Ally get to the mirrorball trophy as well by tuning into Dancing With the Stars and voting on Mondays on ABC at 8/7c.
