Being a parent makes you grown up? An English professor at Georgia Tech University decided to teach a class on “adulting" in an effort to figure out why so many people don't feel like they’ve got their life in order. Rebekah Fitzsimmons and her students attempted to analyze what adulthood truly means these days and discovered that the biggest sign that you’ve officially grown up is having kids of your own. Moving out of your parents’ house doesn’t mean much. Getting your first job doesn’t mean much. You’re not officially an adult -- it seems -- until you’re a parent. Thoughts? (Business Insider

JEFF BEZOS GETTING A DIVORCE

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is one of the world’s richest men, worth around $137 billion.

We’ll see if that changes now that he’s divorcing his wife MacKenzie -- after 25 years of marriage.

Considering the company was founded in 1994, MacKenzie was along for the entire ride. She was there when he wrote the business plan. She worked with him when they were running things out of a garage.

And now they’re splitting up, which could cost him half of his fortune. Ouch. (Yahoo Finance)

SHORT MEN ARE AGGRESSIVE TOWARD TALLER MEN

According to a new study, short men are “indirectly aggressive” toward taller men.

Researchers found that shorter men are more likely than taller men to try to keep more for themselves -- and share less.

In other words, it seems that the Napoleon complex is a real thing. (Big Think

“HEALTHY” THINGS THAT HAVE MORE CARBS THAN A BUSCH LIGHT

Nobody would argue that a can of Busch Light should be considered health food. But if you’re trying to cut carbs, there are plenty of “healthy” foods that have more carbs.

A Busch Light comes in at only 3.2 grams of carbs -- while all these fruits and vegetables and “healthy” things have more:

  • A banana has 27 grams of carbs
  • A mango has 28 grams.
  • An apple has 25 grams.
  • An ear of corn has around 25 grams.
  • A serving of raisins comes in at 34 grams.
  • Even a serving of broccoli has 10 grams.  (Whiskey Riff
