#ReadThisNOW: Get through today... just get through today!

Good morning.

If there's a TV show that kinda was my first pulpy love, it was 90210. So, I wanted to start this morning by saying to keep the Luke Perry in your thoughts. What a week... they announce a six-episode re-boot of the show... and this unthinkable thing happens...

Life. It's not guaranteed.

Well, we've made it to March... and looking at the calendar ahead, we've got Daylight Savings Time, St. Patrick’s Day, March Madness and Spring Break (for some) straight ahead of us. March is also Women's History Month. Today would be World Compliment Day, National Day of Unplugging and... it's PLAN A SOLO VACATION DAY which sounds scary... but at the same time... it sounds amazing, too...

The company you keep… According to a new study, successful women surround themselves with other women. The study, from Northwestern University and the University of Notre Dame, found that most high-ranking women in the job world have an inner circle dominated by women. Researchers discovered that more than 75 percent of high-ranking women maintained either a female-dominated inner circle or strong ties to two or three women in the workplace. (WTOL-TV)

Fast food facts… Your favorite fast food restaurants may offer some salads and fruit these days, but a new study from Boston University found that fast-food menus in the U.S. are more unhealthy now than they were 30 years ago. Researchers found that the portion sizes, calories and sodium content of fast food menu items have all increased significantly. (NY Post)

Did you know that most divorces in the U.S. are initiated by women? The divorce rate in the U.S. has actually gone down since the '80s, but between 42 and 45 percent of marriages end in divorce. And 80 percent of those divorces are initiated by women – usually much to the surprise of the men in their lives … because they seem to think that “things are fine.” “Many men are blindsided by their wives asking for a divorce because everything is just fine for him,” says couples consultant, coach and author Lesli Doares. “Women instigate about 80 percent of divorces -- many after years of feeling unheard or having their concerns minimized,” she continued. JASON WITTEN BAILING ON MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Jason Witten has decided he isn’t done playing football just yet. Even though he retired from the NFL last May -- and spent a year in the Monday Night Football broadcast booth -- he’s going back to the Cowboys for what will be his 16th pro season.

Not surprisingly, the Interwebs rejoiced because Witten was so bad at calling those games.

And, you can already bet on who will replace him. Peyton Manning has the best odds at two-to-one, with Louis Riddick and Greg Olsen rounding out the top three.

BREWERY EMPLOYEES BATTLING IT OUT ON THE HOCKEY RINK

Earlier this week, employees of the Dogfish Head brewery in Delaware traveled to Pennsylvania to take on the employees of Tröegs Independent Brewing in ice hockey.

Making the game even cooler was the venue. They played on a rink at Lincoln Financial Field. You know… The outdoor stadium where the Philadelphia Eagles play …

Calling it the Winter Craft Classic, the event was free to attend.

And, not surprisingly, plenty of beer from both breweries was offered to fans. (The Philadelphia Inquirer)

HAVING KIDS CAN MAKE YOU BROKE AND MISERABLE

According to a new study, having kids can make you broke and miserable.

Researchers found that it’s not all bad news, though. If you have kids – and have enough money to care for them – you’ll enjoy increased happiness.

But if you have kids before you can afford them – and you start dealing with money problems – you will end up being much less satisfied with your life. (MarketWatch)

And.... before I step away for some stuff this morning... just a thought:

If you can't do it over again... why are you worried about it?

Forward!
