Dogs Help Students Deal with Speaking Anxiety!

American University in Washington, D.C., prides itself on being animal-friendly and they proved it in a big way recently by giving students the chance to give oral presentations on stage in front of “audience dogs.”

The Kogod School of Business organized the special event and the students involved said that giving their speeches in front of dogs helped them remain happy and relaxed, which also helped them do a better job.

A school official cleared up one important point. The animals in the audience were not professionally trained audience dogs. Instead, they were just very secure and loving – and able to maintain eye contact.
