Thompson Township – The Delaware Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol currently investigating a one vehicle fatal crash that occurred today, April 1, 2023 at approximately 12:08a.m. The crash occurred on State Route 257 north of Donovan Road in Thompson Township, Delaware County.
Bobby L. Brown, age 19, of Waldo Ohio, was operating a 2008 Hyundai Tiburon and was traveling north on State Route 257. Mr. Browns vehicle travelled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. Mr. Brown was pronounced deceased at the scene by Delaware County EMS personnel.
Alcohol is not a suspected factor for the crash.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Scioto Township Fire Department, and Radnor Fire and EMS.
The crash remains under investigation.
