Lewis Capaldi took the stage at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday (June 28) after a two-year hiatus to focus on his health.
According to US Weekly, the "Someone You Loved" star was happy to be back and "really, really missed" his fans.
"Glastonbury, itâs so good to be back. Iâm not going to say much up here today because, if I did, I might start crying. Itâs been difficult at times [thinking] that maybe this wouldnât ever happen again. Genuinely, from the bottom of my heart, it means the f***ing world to me that everyoneâs here. My name is Lewis Capaldi, and Iâm f***ing back, baby!"
The standout serenaded the crowd with "Grace," "Someone You Loved," and "Before You Go," marking his first live performance since 2023. The set was an extremely emotional moment for Capaldi as the last time he performed at Glastonbury, he had to cancel the remainder of his shows for the "foreseeable future."
US Weekly mentioned that the Glasgow-born icon confirmed he was diagnosed with Tourettes in 2022, months before taking a break to focus on his health.
Not only is Capaldi back and better than ever, but he's going on tour! The singer plans to take over venues across the UK and Ireland this fall and thinks it's "about time I got back to work."
