TMZ says that Ryan Seacrest and ABC have met and are close to making his return to “American Idol” a reality.
Sources say the sticking point is a credit as Executive Producer. Apparently, Katy Perry demanded that credit and was told no, so ABC doesn’t want to ruffle her feathers by giving it to Ryan.
As far as the other two judges, the tabloid says Lionel Richie is close to a deal and Nikki Sixx may be the final judge.
