A 5-year-old boy is selling cookies and lemonade for Harvey relief efforts. Jet lives in Philadelphia now, but was born in Houston. He told Fox 29 that he’s “sad because there was a hurricane." The little boy sent a message with his clothing; he donned a Texans ballcap and a Superman cape.
Jet’s mom Margaret Brown, who serves in the Coast Guard, couldn’t be more proud. "We're so far from everybody and we are just trying to think of something to do to help out. The response has been amazing from Philadelphians. They've been very generous."
An interesting twist happened along the way, Houston resident Elizabeth Allison is stuck in Philly because of planes being grounded, so she’s baking cookies for the stand. Allison is heartbroken by the devastation in her hometown.
Jet has collected over 100 dollars so far.
