Climate change experts say global warming didn't cause Hurricane Irma or Hurricane Harvey, but it did make them worse. A researcher at the University of Bristol told "The Independent" earlier this week that the rising sea level and surface ocean warming caused by Climate change likely added to the impact of both Irma and Harvey.
Another expert says the higher sea levels caused by Climate change are leading to bigger storm surges and more coastal flooding. A tropical storm expert at the University of Reading says Climate change leads to increased rainfall, which leads to more intense storms and more freshwater flooding.
The experts say Climate change will continue, and we should prepare for similar destruction in the future.
