Yesterday, we told you about a new study that says sitting for long periods of time will kill you early. Well, there’s a fix for it!
All you have to do is move every 30 minutes. The lead researcher in the gloomy study says that is the key. Keith Diaz told “Today” that it’s great if you exercise, but then sitting the rest of the day still highly increases your risk of early death. He suggests being mindful of your movement.
He suggests setting an alarm to go off that reminds you when it’s time to move and to engage in any movement that will get your heart pumping for at least a minute. Walking may be the easiest.
