A Virginia man is 225-thousand dollars richer after letting a clerk choose his lottery ticket. David Strawderman says he asked the clerk to use his winnings to buy another ticket because he was on a winning streak. That's when he asked the clerk to choose the five-dollar ‘In the Money’ ticket.
And he scored a 225-thousand dollar prize for his trust. “I went all numb,” he offers. “I was completely shocked.” Strawderman said he went numb at the Waynesboro 7-Eleven when he won and didn’t believe it until he went home and checked his ticket over.
As for what happens next, Strawderman admits he still doesn't know how he will spend his winnings (but here’s hoping he’ll throw a little scratch that clerk’s way!).
