A couple in Rhode Island were surprised to learn that a stranger had paid off their layaway balance on gifts for their kids at Toys R Us.
Kylah Turbitt and her husband, Joshua, were dealing with pay cuts at work, so they began Christmas shopping for their two young children, five-year-old Zachary and 18-month-old Taelyn, back in September.
They budgeted $200 for the toys and were paying the layaway gradually.
But then they got a wonderful phone call from the manager of the store, telling them that their final payments were made by a anonymous stranger.
The store manager said the donor -- or "layaway angel" -- also donated money to three other families.
