Live Tweeting Makes Sports Better for Viewers!

While many sports fans might think that sending out messages on Twitter while watching a sporting event would distract the viewer from what's going on, a new study says just the opposite -- that Tweeting during games helps fans be even MORE involved in the on-field action and improves the overall experience.

Researchers monitored subjects by tracking their eye movement and brain activity during games.

Sure enough. Those who were Tweeting were 31 percent more engaged in the action and were able to remember 35 percent more about what went on than those who weren’t on social media.
