Two of the best curling teams in the world, Sweden and Canada met in Men’s Curling on Saturday morning. Both teams are undefeated and both are big thinkers. The Sweeds won the intense match.
While I watched the match, I did some thinking.
I’m a huge baseball fan and always find it interesting when people say the sport is boring. Many feel the same about curling. I’m fascinated by the mental and physical skills it takes to curl. The strategy is awesome. Like in baseball, these elite athletes can put that stone wherever they want, because of their skills. But, they have to place it perfectly to win the game in the end. Every pitch and every stone can make or break the game. Fascinating.
