If you can’t handle “stuff” everywhere, being a minimalist may be up your alley.
In the last couple of years, thrift stores has seen an uptick in furniture and knick knack donations. It’s because Millennials don’t want their parents stuff or to be surrounded by things. Being a minimalist is the way to go.
How do you get to that point where few material possessions surround you in your home? Here are some key steps:
- Go through your stuff and ask “Does this bring me joy.” If not, put it in the donation pile.
- Ditch the items with the least amount of emotional attachment first.
- If you can’t part with something, remember the thrill someone else could have in owning it.
- Enjoy the process and bask in the cleanliness of your surroundings!
