In case you didn’t know, there's an EpiPen shortage across the country.
The FDA says manufacturing delays are causing supply problems for the device that's used as an emergency treatment for allergic reactions. At least 400 people have reported they haven't been able to get the medication since May 2nd.
So how can you make sure your family has this lifesaving medicine?
- Check your supply.
- Check the expiration dates and plan ahead.
- Look into alternative brands.
- If you choose another brand, have the pharmacist show you how to use it.
- Order ahead of time. Way ahead.
The distributor of EpiPens says anyone having an issue get7ing their prescription should contact the company's customer service immediately for help finding some medicine.
