Being beautiful definitely has its advantages in most aspects of life… but it may be a hindrance when it comes to business. A study from Washington State University and the University of Colorado has discovered proof of something called the "femme fatale effect" – or fatal women effect. Basically, it’s the belief that a very attractive woman is dangerous and will lead you astray. And when it comes to business, beautiful women are seen as less trustworthy and are more likely to be fired. “Highly attractive women can be perceived as dangerous and that matters when we are assessing things like how much we trust them and whether we believe that what they are saying is truthful,” says lead author Leah Sheppard, assistant professor of management in the WSU Carson College of Business. Money vs. free time … According to a new survey, it seems that Millennials are already burned out at work ... even though they spend less time in the office than older generations. The survey found that a staggering 53 percent of Millennials say they would take a pay cut to get more free time. (Philly Voice)
Have a tough time keeping up with your to-do list? You’re not alone. A new survey found that the average American is currently putting off 14 things on their to-do list, while 21 percent say they are actually putting off 20 or more tasks.
60 percent say they are currently putting off basic life tasks such as cleaning, going to the bank, or even filing their taxes because they just don’t have the time.
The survey found that Americans are so busy, they only have four hours and 26 minutes of free time a week. 40 percent said they have less than that amount of free time each week. And 59 percent of respondents say it’s hard to keep their life organized with everything they have going on.
