British researchers recommend starting the new year with a "Dry January."
Dry January is when you abstain from alcohol for a month. Scientists at the University of Sussex say their research shows that it helps people regain control of their drinking after the holidays. They studied over 800 people who did it last year, and found going a month without alcohol helped them feel better and healthier in several ways.
