Body image... it's a thing.
And in a world where we are expected to look a certain way, where being 'camera ready' is part of our vernacular, and where we have insta-famous people like the Kardashians who want to pull down photos of themselves which aren't photoshopped to perfection, it's easy to see why so many people are now struggling with body image, self esteem, self confidence and more.
That's why I wanted to share these photos with you. Lena Dunham, who made HBO's GIRLS so incredible several years ago, is a true champion for body-image. She is not afraid to be who she is, she loves who she is and uses her platforms to encourage you and I to be okay with how we look, no matter what size we are.
The New York Post put together this article highlighting some of Dunham's most body-positive photos on Instagram, and I wanted to share them. Her confidence is contagious... and it's a reminder that we need to all love who we are because we're all still becoming. Maybe you've put on a few pandemic pounds. Maybe you don't care about it. Regardless, you need to love who you are and the journey you are on... because in the end, it IS your journey and it's what matters most in this life!
