#VIDEO: Did you see the video of the #nurse who was told her #scrubs are inappropriate? Well, they're not. What is inappropriate are the comments made about this #HealthCare #Hero and her body!
This story is blowing up this afternoon and for good reason: It's ridiculous this nurse is having to deal with this sort of stuff.
Erika Diaz has pulled in a TON of views on TIKTOK since she posted this video of her - wearing her scrubs. It seems some people where she works or whatever have some feelings about her body in these scrubs which she wears in a way which makes her comfortable.
She's not exposing her body. She's wearing scrubs. So she has a very small waist.
How does that have anything to do with her ability to save lives?
I'm someone who lived in an ICU for a week. I've had elective surgeries and I've had life-saving surgery before. I think I've been around more nurses and healthcare providers over the last decade than most people I know, and that's why I can safely say this:
I don't care what a care-giver looks like in whatever scrubs they're wearing or how they're wearing them. I care about the care-giver's ability to give me the care I need to save my life. Period. Full stop. End of story.
It sucks this woman has had to deal with this. It's even worse that people can be judgy-mcjudgerson or catty-cathy about this. It's just not cool.
