It’s one small flight for Blue Origin… one giant leap for women in space.

It’s one small flight for Blue Origin… and one giant leap for women in space. 🚀

This morning (Monday), Blue Origin launched a truly historic space mission — an all-female crew aboard the New Shepard suborbital rocket, making it the first spaceflight crewed entirely by women since Soviet cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova’s solo mission in 1963. That’s over 60 years in the making.

The powerful passenger lineup includes:

🎤 Katy Perry – global pop icon

🎙️ Gayle King – broadcast journalist and cultural force

🧠 Aisha Bowe – former NASA rocket scientist and aerospace pioneer

✊ Amanda Nguyen – civil rights activist and bioastronautics researcher

🎬 Kerianne Flynn – film producer with a mission to tell untold stories

💍 Lauren Sánchez – journalist and philanthropist, and fiancée to Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos

The launch takes place at Launch Site One in West Texas, with the New Shepard vehicle reaching the Kármán line — 62 miles above Earth, the internationally recognized edge of space. 🌌 The mission is expected to last about 11 minutes, offering passengers a moment of weightlessness and a breathtaking view of Earth.

This isn’t just a pop culture moment — it’s history in motion. 🛰️ These women come from entertainment, science, journalism, and activism, proving that space isn’t reserved for one kind of person — it’s for all of us.

Let’s be real: seeing women from all walks of life look down on Earth together? It’s the kind of energy we love to see. 🌍✨
